O ČASOPISU 

Časopis Srpskog društva za muzičku teoriju pripada polju društveno-humanističkih nauka – oblast nauke o umetnostima. U njemu se proučava i promoviše muzička teorija. Okosnicu časopisa čine tri rubrike. Prva je Naučni radovi, gde se obuhvataju različita muzičko-teorijska pitanja: odnos tradicionalnog istraživanja i novih teorija, primene različitih teorijskih modela, analitičke interpretacije muzike, istorijata teorije, primenjenih i interdisciplinarnih pristupa muzici. U rubrici Stručni radovi zastupljeni su izučavanje pedagogije muzičko-teorijskih predmeta, metodička pitanja i osvrt na značajne godišnjice. Treća rubrika, Prikazi, odnosi se na objavljene muzičko-teorijske publikacije, odbranjene doktorske disertacije, održane naučne i stručne skupove.

Časopis Srpskog društva za muzičku teoriju je jedini časopis u našoj sredini, čija je programska koncepcija u potpunosti okrenuta ka muzičkoj teoriji, prezentujući aktuelne domete savremene muzičko-teorijske i analitičko-interpretativne misli, čime se podržava naučni pristup ovoj oblasti. Takođe, Časopis Srpskog društva za muzičku teoriju posebno podstiče objavljivanje članaka koji se bave problematikom pedagoške prakse, doprinoseći njenom unapređenju.

Opšti naučni i društveni karakter časopisa manifestuje se kroz usavršavanje muzičke teorije i nastave njenih bazičnih disciplina. Zahvaljujući svom interdisciplinarnom aspektu, časopis proširuje korpus društveno-humanističkih nauka, vezuje se za oblast nauka o umetnosti uz mogućnost povezivanja sa drugim srodnim oblastima. Časopis Srpskog društva za muzičku teoriju izlazi jedanput godišnje, uključuje tekstove na srpskom i engleskom jeziku i namenjen je stručnoj javnosti. Svaki prispeli rad ocenjuju dva recenzenta. U obzir se uzimaju samo neobjavljeni tekstovi, kao i oni koji nisu podneti za objavljivanje u nekom drugom časopisu.


About Journal

The Journal of the Serbian Society for Music Theory belongs to the social sciences and humanities, specifically art studies. It is dedicated to the study and promotion of music theory. The journal is structured around three main sections. The first, Research Articles, encompasses a wide range of music-theoretical issues, including the relationship between traditional research and new theoretical approaches, applications of various theoretical models, analytical interpretations of music, the history of theory, as well as applied and interdisciplinary approaches to music. The Professional Articles section focuses on the pedagogy of music-theoretical subjects, methodological issues, and reflections on important anniversaries. The third section, Reviews, covers published music-theoretical literature, defended doctoral dissertations, and reports on academic and professional conferences.

The Journal of the Serbian Society for Music Theory is the only journal in the region whose programmatic concept is entirely devoted to music theory, presenting current achievements in contemporary music-theoretical and analytical-interpretative thought, thereby supporting a scholarly approach to this field. In addition, the journal particularly encourages the publication of articles addressing issues of pedagogical practice, contributing to its further development.

The general scholarly and social character of the journal is reflected in the advancement of music theory and the teaching of its fundamental disciplines. Thanks to its interdisciplinary orientation, the journal broadens the scope of the social sciences and humanities, situating itself within art studies while enabling connections with related disciplines. The Journal of the Serbian Society for Music Theory is published once a year, includes texts in both Serbian and English, and is intended for a professional readership. Each submitted paper is evaluated by two reviewers. Only unpublished manuscripts are considered, as well as those not under review by another journal.
